My relationship with Alcohol

This post has been a long time coming. I've been wanting to share about my personal relationship with alcohol for quite some time now because it's a topic that has permeated most of my life.

As someone who grew up with an alcoholic mother, whose partner is a recovering alcoholic, who drank myself silly for over a decade, who lived more extremely than most people, I have a lot to say on the topic.

I've tried writing this email multiple times, unsuccessfully. Today I realized this story did not want to be written. It wanted to be told.

Click below for a video in which I share about my long and complicated relationship with alcohol. And how it went from being complicated to a non-issue.

My hope is that my story will support/inspire you if you too have had a complicated relationship with drinking. And remember, this isn't a moralistic issue. This isn't about good, bad, right, wrong, should you or shouldn't you. This is about always and forever prioritizing your own peace of mind, sovereignty, and liberation above all else, whatever that might look like, for you.

In the video I reference a few people who do wonderful work around the topic. You can find links here.
